Stacking the Shelves [2]

12832421_10153838802276438_1375248544595741763_nStacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and is about sharing the books that you have added to your shelves in the past week. The books can be physical, digital, borrowed, won, sent for review, or anything else.

Amazon –

study in charlotte

A Study in Charlotte by Brittany Cavallaro – A female Sherlock and Watson duo? An entire lineage of Sherlockian goodness? Yes and yes. This is one of my many pre-orders this month, and it looks very interesting. I’m hoping it’s more BBC Sherlock than the American Sherlock Holmes movies. We’ll see.

seven black diamonds

Seven Black Diamonds by Melissa Marr – One of the first YA series that I really fell in love with was the Wicked Lovely series by this wonderful woman. And her standalone adult novel, Graveminder, is one of my all-time favorite books. This is the first novel she’s published in a while, so of course I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. It looks pretty dark, and it’s set in the world of Fae like the Wicked Lovely series, so I’m hoping it’ll be as scrumptious as Ink Exchange, her darkest (and best) Wicked Lovely novel.

you were here

You Were Here by Cori McCarthy – I read an ARC of this one (thanks to Netgalley) last week, and gave it full marks, which meant I had to have a Hardcover copy of it for my book collection. I won’t say much here, but look for my review next week – it’s going to be a good one!

Barnes and Noble –

the siren

The Siren by Kiera Cass – I’ve had my eye on The Siren for awhile now, but it keeps getting pushed back on my TBR. I finally caved while out running errands this week and picked up a copy. I know it’s gotten mixed reviews, but I love The Selection Series, so I feel I owe it to Cass to give this one a chance as well.

love and gelato

Love & Gelato by Jenna Evans Welch – I did one great #booksfortrade this week, resulting in two of the books on my TBR. Having lived in Italy, I’m a sucker for books set there, and this one just looks lovely. It comes out in April, so I’m happy I got my hands on it more than a month early!

this is where the world ends

This is Where the World Ends by Amy Zhang – The other book I got from my #booksfortrade this week! I could not stop talking about Falling Into Place, and now I’m an Amy Zhang fan for life. If this is anything like that one I know I’m going to love it. It comes out on March 16th!

From the Library –

pretending to be erika

Pretending to be Erica by Michelle Painchaud – I think the premise of this one is very interesting (I remember being very into the whole “switched identity” thing), but I’ve been waffling on buying it for a long time now. So I’ve finally just checked it out from our local library so I can see if it holds up.

the abyss

The Abyss Surrounds Us by Emily Skrutskie – Sea monsters sea monsters sea monsters! Need I say more?

shallow graves

Shallow Graves by Kali Wallace – This book has the look of a Holly Black book, so I just had to check it out!

What books did you pick up this week? Share them with me in the comments!

  1. Love & Gelato looks so cute! I tried to read the Wicked Lovely series years ago but could never get into it. Might pick up Graveminder soon and give that a try though! Awesome haul! 🙂

    • Graveminder is nothing like the Wicked Lovely series – it’s absolutely amazing. As for Wicked Lovely… I can see how some people might not love it, but I think Ink Exchange in particular is inspired. Thanks for commenting! 🙂 I’ll be posting a review of Love & Gelato as soon as I finish it, so definitely check back or follow me on social media!

    • I hope it’s as good as it looks! I’ll review it as soon as I’ve read it – so definitely check back or follow me on social media! 🙂 A Graveminder Sequel would be ideal!

    • You’ll have to tell me what you think when you finish it! It’ll probably be a while before I actually get to it, but I’m excited about it!
