Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and is about sharing the books that you have added to your shelves in the past week. The books can be physical, digital, borrowed, won, sent for review, or anything else.

Purchased

Amazon –

THRONE OF GLASS SERIES

The Throne of Glass Series by Sarah J. Mass – Yes, I finally did it. I jumped on the THRONE OF GLASS bandwagon. I have no regrets. Though I was only moderately in love with Sarah J. Mass’ A Court of Thorns and Roses last year (the first half dragged for me, but I loved the second half), I gave into the bookstagram pressure and purchased this entire series on a whim. Now, as I delve into book two, Crown of Midnight, I’m already feeling like a superfan. These are really great books. I finally get all the Sarah J. Mass hype! Yay!

dash and lily's

Dash and Lilly’s Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan – I read this book last winter and thought it was adorable and a great Christmas season read. Then I realized I might be able to get a signed ARC of the sequel at BEA this year, so I thought I should own a hardcopy of this one too, so my set matches (I only have the ebook). It’s a very cute contemporary!

Sent for Review

Netgalley –

100 days of cake

100 Days of Cake by Sharie Goldhagen – This book looks strange, which attracted me immediately. We’ll have to wait and see if it’s as weirdly delicious as it looks.

wild swans

Wild Swans by  Jessica Spotswood – So, if you didn’t know, I LOVED LOVED LOVED A Tyranny of Petticoatswhich was edited by Jessica, and I thought her short story was amazing in it, so when I saw this little baby on Netgalley, I had to have it. I’m looking forward to beginning a wonderful love affair with Jessica Spotswood’s books from here on out.

Traded

all we have left

All We Have Left by Wendy Mills – I can’t believe that we are now entering an era of historical and speculative fiction centered around 9/11. That makes me feel old. It also makes me hopeful – if authors can accurately portray this tragedy in a way that helps readers better connect to each other, I think this could be a very very good thing for literature. This book looks beautiful (and not just on the cover), and I am looking forward to seeing if it lives up to its premise and does justice to the subject matter.

  1. These fantasy books have such gorgeous covers-I wish I read more in the genre! I do have a few fantasy to read along with a ton of zombies, dystopia, urban fantasy, tudor fiction, horror…and a tbr that is reaching frightening levels but I can’t seem to care about it right now…

Ravenclaw huh? I’m Hufflepuff, more like an Orc in the morning than a hobbit, and am twisted enough to use zombies and apocalypse novels as comfort reads! I’ve enjoyed visiting your blog and hope to stop by regularly. Enjoy your books!

    • My TBR could kill me if it were dropped on me. So I understand that feeling 100%. I think I’m more of a Ravenpuff, if you know what I mean. Blended houses are more fun anyway. 🙂 Definitely keep coming by! Your comment was so much fun to read!

    • Follow me so we can discuss them when I finish! I loved the first one thus far, and am about to start the second! Glad to know you recommend them!

  2. I have not tried that series by Sarah J. Maas, but I enjoyed ACOTAR. I recently met another author that is being compared to Sarah J. Maas, her name is Rachel E. Carter and she writes Y/A Fantasy. You should check her out!

  3. Oh oh I got 100 Days of Cake too recently because…CAKE. XD Good luck with it. ;D I hope you find it delicious. hehe. And that hardcover set of Throne of Glass is GORGEOUS. I’m not the world’s biggest fan of the series, buuuut… those covers are very ever so much pretty. :’)
Thanks for stopping by @ Paper Fury!

    • I saw your review of 100 Days of Cake! It looked interesting but you never know with books like that… As for Throne of Glass – I enjoyed the first one, but my biggest complaint was definitely the fact that they talk about clothes way too much. lol.
